Bread & Butter - Issue 03

From a cabin in the Rockies: no commute, no laundry piles, and 100+ follow-ups later, here’s what a clear space did for my biz.

Howdy from the mountains!󠁵󠁳󠁴

Right now, I’m writing this from a cabin in the Rockies.

No commute. No laundry pile staring me down. No counter that looks like it’s playing Jenga with the mail.

It’s quiet enough to hear myself think — and wild enough outside to keep me moving every day.

🍞The Clutter You See… and the Clutter You Don’t

Picture taken by my lovely husband.

In just three days here, I’ve:
Followed up on 100+ emails for reviews, interviews, & potential video editors
Knocked out this newsletter on the fly (without missing a week)
Actually hit my daily movement goal for the first time in a while

Turns out, the biggest block in my business wasn’t my to-do list — it was the noise around me.

🧈What That Means for the Business

This week, I didn’t just publish. I made actual progress. Here’s why:

  • ✍️ I carved out space before carving a strategy.

  • 🧺 I stopped trying to “just work through” the mess.

  • 🛠️ I dropped the idea that I had to do everything at home to “earn” focus time.

Clarity isn’t just a mindset issue — it’s an environment issue.

And maybe the most productive thing I can do next… is clean my desk, shut the door, and step outside.

🏘️ Homeownership as a force for community repair.
Flipping houses isn’t the point—this piece reframes ownership as a tool for stability, equity, and rebuilding from within.

🧠 The AI interior design race just got interesting.
Spoiler: it’s not who I expected to win this round. But their UX game is strong, and I’m paying attention.

If you’ve ever been called “too much,” this one reframes strength and softness with a historical lens I loved.

The Last Slice

Not every breakthrough comes from a strategy session.
Sometimes, it’s just clearing the table.

🍽️Thanks for being at the table.

If this made you pause, plan, or see your home a little differently — that’s the whole point.
